Haiyue’s research interests focus on hierarchical porous structure materials and self- and transport diffusion in vacuum setup. Hierarchical porous materials contain a porous structure consisting of multiple levels of porosities on different length scales, which can be used as catalysts or catalyst supports, due to their enhanced mass transport; in addition, progress in materials synthesis open ways to tune the position of active sites and introduce multiple functionalities. The aim of this PhD project is the design of hierarchically structured porous catalysts with optimized activity, selectivity and stability; the samples will be catalytically tested for practically relevant reaction, such as epoxidation reaction, which allow us to validate the optimization method.
