CNIE advisory board meeting 2018

The EPSRC "Frontier Engineering" Centre for Nature Inspired Engineering at UCL draws lessons from nature to engineer innovative solutions to our grand challenges in energy, water, materials, health, and living space. CNIE will host their advisory board meeting at the UCL's Mary Ward House on 24th-25th January, 2018. As a part of CNIE, NICE group researchers will presented their work through talks and posters over the course of the two-day event.

She will use ARCHER supercomputer for 6 months to study behavior of biomolecules confined in ordered amorphous silica through all-atom molecular dynamic simulations with explicit water and counter-ions.The simulations will provide a better understanding of the interplay between the adsorbed proteins and mesoporous materials which is necessary to improve drug delivery systems by improving stability and controlled release of the active drug at the site of interest.
